LunchCast – Droid and Flash 10.1

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Want to install Froyo Leak on your Droid? Visit Droidlife.

Casey has installed Froyo leak – Android 2.2 and flash 10.1 on his phone.  He is able to watch all the youtube videos now.  However a lot of sites still don’t come up.  It could be that they redirect to a mobile version of there website, without flash.  He also tried Hulu.com and a message indicated that he isn’t licensed to view videos on Hulu.com.  Maybe it thinks he isn’t in the USA.

Adobe CS4 Premeir and M2Ts AVCHD video editing.

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Adobe CS4 Premeir and M2Ts AVCHD video editing.

Based on a chart that Adobe has published, you can import AVCHD video, but you can not export it in the original format.  I have found that youtube will allow you to upload your raw m2ts files directly.  However, if you want to edit the video, you will need to export it to another format.  I am currently searching for a way to do simple Splice and Slice in the native format.

I have found a simple program to splice the video.  It is very fast and will playback fine on windows 7.  However, when you upload the video to youtube, it doubles the size of the video and playback is in slow motion. It is as if the frame rate doubled.

AVCHD (.m2ts, .mts) Import only

Supported file formats in Premiere Pro CS4

I have also researched Sony Vegas Pro and have found the same problem.

WordPress Themes

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

I was wanting a new look for the blog, so I searched for a WordPress theme editor.  I found Artisteer, artisteer an application for making Themes.  I know about all of the pre-made themes that you can choose from on WordPress’s website.  I just could find exactly what I wanted, but it was a good place to get ideas.  I wanted a way to get a visual on how it would look before I made it public.  I then found a plug-in that allows you to test drive your themes.

When adding photos to themes, I found that Gif files work best with transparent backgrounds.  When you use the transparent backgrounds, it blends into the theme that you have chosen.  A great program for doing this is the Adobe Photoshop Elements app.  I am currently in the search of a similar  application that is free.  Another great feature is using textures and gradients.

Free online tool- Gradient Image Maker

Here is a website for generating gradients.
Here is a website for generating textures. This gives you a great professional and unique looking website.

Here are a few of the themes I have made, and a couple of the ones that have come close to what I wanted from WordPress.

Check this out !!

I was looking for menus and found this right click menu.
If you click on the example & go to “my page” you see this awesome photo album.
If you go to the the second line in the second paragragh “photo gallery”, another album.
Which is more awesome ? I don’t know.
I just know we need this code (this is the stuff I wanted to show you before, but could not find)
