LED TV’S, 120-HZ and 240-HZ

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

What is the latest in LCD / LED TV’s ?  Refresh rate, currently it is 60-HZ.  Moving to 120-HZ and 240-HZ, you will see sm0other screen updates.  This feature will make any video source look sharper and smoothes out the zaggies that you would normally see on a 60-HZ tv.  This is most noticable on fast action, pans and detailed shots.

Another reason for the faster refresh rate is to help support the new craze, 3D video. Coming home to your computer and soon set top boxes, you will be able to enjoy REAL 3D videos.  Yes, you still need glasses, but the experience is worth it.  I was amazed by watching the Demo that Panasonic put on for us at CES.  240hz_lcd_hdtv_motionflow

Sony had this display, comparing the 3 formats available.

Samsung’s LED TV is shown.
