San Bernardino, Ca, USA – Aerial footage over Shandin Hills Middle School and Little Mountain towers.

Saturday, April 6th, 2013

Watch in Youtube

Flight over Shandin Hills Middle School, and Little Mountain tower in San Bernardino, Ca. Using the DJI Phantom Quad Copter and Go Pro Hero HD camera. Edited with iMovie, and audio provided from iMovie. I know this will get flagged for copy write issues, but they will continue to allow it to be shown. I am not sure why this is an issue, but oh well. This is probably one of my better flights, as I have learned so much from when I first purchased the Phantom. One of the biggest improvements was accomplished by adjusting the camera to 720p 60 fps, then balancing the props and then flying out of GPS mode. That removed the Jello effect that was caused be excessive vibrations. Another improvement was not to make sudden adjustments to the flight. Over correcting and quick turns makes the video almost unusable. Sometime I use the hard lighting filter in imovie to enhance the color of the video. The other key is to film near noon, as the sun causes bad lighting when it hits the lens. Also noted that the camera angle should be around 35 degrees instead of horizontal or vertical, as the camer will pick up the flutter of the props, or focus on the landing gear. Hope this helps to improve your videos. Thanks for watching and please hit the like button if you like it.

March 20, 2013 I embarked on a flight over my San Bernardino House.  Using the DJI Phantom Quad Copter and the GOPRO HERO HD camera attached to the copter. I put together the video using iMovie and the music was found on freeplaymusic.com.  This is my 7th flight and I must say it is getting easier to fly.  I will keep posting my videos on youtube and my blog at www.kulltech.com
