Big Bear Elementary School Fly over Sept 21 2013

Watch on Youtube.com

This was taken in Sugarloaf – Big Bear, Ca. Even though it was windy, the footage looks pretty stable. Just seems to turn right or left more than I would like. I was able to launch from the elementary school near Big Bear High School.

I did use iMovie and the color correction – Hard Light. The music was taken from Garage band and iMovie. Its not much, but I will be working on find music and sound effects that youtube will allow me to use.

Watch on Youtube

Flights are getting better. This time my goal was to get a fly by over the Devils Canyon Reservoir. It turned out pretty good. The trip around the neighborhood was fun too. I will be working on a beach scene soon and another lake shot in Big Bear. Be sure to watch and like the videos. Thanks

Yucaipa USA flight, stable video using the DJI Phantom upgrade kit, Gimbal, and Fatshark FPV.

Watch on Youtube

This flight is the result of adding the upgrade kit to the Phantom with the DJI Gimbal and FatShark FPV kit. I am very pleased with the results. The Jello effect is gone, the video is stable, even on a very windy flight. I am using the GoPro Hero 3 black edition camera with the settings at 1080p 60fps, narrow f.o.v. My previous flights would last about 9 minutes, now they have been shortened to 8 minutes due to the camera and video transmitter are all running on the same battery.

I have posted a 3 hour video on the upgrade kit. I expect it will show up in the next few hours once youtube finishes processing it. This video will show you step by step how to install the upgrade kit, Gimbal, and FatShark FPV kit inside of the Phantom.

The video was edited with iMovie, and music was created with Garage Band. I may have to repost the video without music if youtube decides to take it down because they don’t like garageband that much.
